This is an illustration I did for a friend of mine who designs video games. He was looking for concepts for a futuristic pirate. So I went with the hook thing (classic pirate appendage) and added on a jimmy-rigged gun thing and some freaky cybernetic eyes.
I got a lot of response when this one appeared with an online article about the "Best Cities" rankings that come out. One university even used it for a conference about the Salt Lake job market.
I know what you're thinking: "What the crap is that thing?" I was just in the mood for aliens, but I wanted to do something other than a humanoid. So I experimented with something that was really just one long limb. That green thing is some sort of plant-based communication device (to communicate with the rest of the hive, of course). [Note: no illicit drugs were used while creating this piece.]
This one kind of speaks for itself. It went with an online article about the futility of using job search sites. I just enjoyed drawing a big, dark, swirling hurricane thing. Ah, nothing funner than drawing vortexes...
This is a web comic I did in reaction to Hillary Clinton's "misspeaking" gaff about her time in Bosnia. Just loved the idea of using the misspeaking thing to avoid getting in trouble.
I did this piece for an education website. It went with an article decrying the loss of discipline and control in today's classrooms. I love the suit and the round eyes peeking out.
